Liz completed her bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Colorado-Denver, then her master's degree in Community Counseling at the University of Northern Colorado, and her PhD in Education at the University of Missouri, Columbia. Liz was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army Reserves after serving her country for 6 years and enjoys working with the military community.
Liz is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate with four years of counseling experience in community- and education-based services. Liz serves children, adolescents, adults, couples, families and groups in the following areas childhood trauma and abuse, parent/child relational problems, anxiety, anger and stress management, military adjustments and struggles, grief and loss, depression, behavioral and discipline challenges, and family relational issues.
Liz uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in combination with various cognitive and behavioral techniques depending on the needs of the individual.
